Who Else Wants To Know About Car Speaker Systems?

BOOM BOOM BOOM! I remember this sound all the way back in high school. It echoed through my entire neighborhood with a tremor-like force. It wasn't nuclear warheads; it wasn't thunder crashing or a tornado drawing near. It was the phenomenally loud BOOM from someone's car speaker systems. It never ceased to amaze me how much money kids would pour into their speakers and car stereo systems. Personally I just have whatever came with the car when I bought it. But, there's certainly no reason to settle for this if you're craving a much more rave-like experience in your vehicle. Now days you can have it!

Back when I was in tenth grade, I started cruising a lot. Isn't this that typical age to cruise? You're 16 finally, and you have your driver's license. Now you have the power to head out on the town and basically just drive around in circles. Yeah, it's quite the experience, no doubt. Anyway, I didn't cruise in my car, Nope, my best friend was obsessed with driving and clearly infatuated with his Chevy Blazer. Therefore I let him do all the driving. I would just relax in the passenger's seat. Well, try and relax that is. This guy had the king of car speaker systems. He had two twenty inch speakers in the back, in addition to what the SUV came with, and some ridiculous amp on top of that. In short, the Blazer was absurdly loud. The BOOMING noise from his base CDs nearly rattled my eardrums out. It's a pretty surreal experience when you can feel every atom of your body shaking. I often wondered how these fancy car speaker systems didn't shake parts loose, or screws out. I recall one winter night we were driving home from some arcade and the base was as loud as ever. Although it was freezing outside, I think the vibration from that car speaker system kept me warm that night. Apparently base and loud car speaker systems are a fascinating combination.

Crank it up! You might as well have fun with it when you're young. I doubt the cops will give you much of a break with it when you're older. That whole disturbing the peace thing doesn't go over so well with a 42 year old, who has crazy car speaker systems in his vehicles. But as a teenager, they'll cut you some slack. They did us.
