Who Else Wants To Know About The Best Car Brands?
We all face consumerism each day. We each respond to it in a different way. The people that have enough money respond by buying what they want or what they are convinced they need. The people that are convinced that they cannot be happy unless they have certain products buy on credit. Some people that cannot afford anything and do not qualify for credit, steal what they are convinced they need. When you stop and think about this it is ridiculous.
We have become so conditioned to wanting certain brands. We are fooled into thinking that if we own the right car brands and wear the right brand clothing we are successful. I have never understood people’s obsessions with brand names. I have always shopped for quality and value. If something is of equal or superior quality I will buy it regardless of the brand name. I do this with all of my purchases. I am not loyal to any one brand name from food to car brands; I go for quality and value.
My brother is the opposite when it comes to car brands. He has always dreamed of owning a BMW. In his mind owning that car will prove that he is a success. I have been fortunate to have a very high paying job and can basically afford to buy any of the car brands that are on the market today. I still drive a modest domestic sedan. My car is reliable, it handles well in all road conditions and it is comfortable for me to drive. My brother cannot believe that with all the car brands available I would chose a modest domestic car. I told him that to me a car is transportation. I rely on it to get me from my home to where I am going and back home again. When I am at work the car sits in a ramp, when I am home it sits in the garage, when I am shopping it sits in a parking lot. Once I have gotten out of the car no one knows what I drive.
My concern for my brother is that once he earns his BMW he will be disappointed because he has such grand dreams of how wonderful this car is going to be to drive. I do not think any vehicle could perform to his expectations. Also when a person has a one goal that they want to achieve there is usually a since of let done once you have reached it. I keep telling him that he needs to have additional goals that he wants to achieve.
