All About 2 Car Garages

Why is it that 2 car garages never have two cars in them? I can answer that with one word: men. Men have too much garage-type stuff to fit both vehicles in the unit. I have seen many 2 car garages but I have never seen two vehicles in one. This is because there is just too many other things in the area.

This is not a complaint. We have a 2 car garage and I am more than happy to share the space with my husband’s stuff simply because I don’t want it in my house. Common items found overflowing into the extra parking space are far better off in this area than in my home.

I don’t know where the stuff comes from and I don’t care as long as it stays out of my house. I don’t know what he does with these items that seem to be multiplying in the area but this is what 2 car garages are really meant to do. They were designed by guys. These fellas know what they are doing.

The 2 car garages came on the scene way before families could afford two cars. This is the first clue that the inventor of the larger parking area had other plans for the space. Why make 2 car garages if you only own one vehicle? I can answer that in two words: guy stuff.

My husband’s guy stuff is set and snug where it is and I am fine with it. I think that the original inventor of the expanded garage actually made the design for his wife, saying, “Look, hun. I’ll keep the stuff in here.” This works for me.

Even today when most families have more than one vehicle I know that the 2 car garages aren’t meant for more than one of them. My argument is that men know that we can’t park a huge SUV in a small space. There isn’t room for a Beetle in there let alone a large vehicle.

Men also know that most women aren’t comfortable pulling their priceless driving machine into a small space. It just isn’t natural. The 2 car garages of today are designed for one big vehicle and a lot of guy stuff that needs to stay out of the house.

So why has the conspiracy of 2 car garages gone undetected for so many years? I can answer that with one word: women. We know what you’re up to. We just aren’t telling you.
